Profile

Sophus conducts cases within civil litigation and arbitration before all courts, including both institutional and ad-hoc established arbitration tribunals, representing both insurance companies and foreign clients.

He is among the leading advisers in Denmark within any issues relating to the horse and veterinary business, including the drafting of agreements and handling of disputes, both nationally and internationally.

Moreover, he is a certified Danish and international arbitrator.

In 2003, Sophus was an acting High Court judge in the Western division of the Danish High Court. In 2003-2006, he was an external lecturer in litigation at Aarhus University. In 2002-2008, Sophus was further an external lecturer at Aarhus University as supervisor for the University team in the international court competition Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

He is further external examiner at the compulsory litigation test, appointed by the General Council of the Danish Bar and Law Society.

Sophus is currently external lecturer at Aarhus University, Business and Social Sciences, Department of Law.

Sophus is recommended in Legal 500 in the area of Insurance.
